School of Rehabilitation Sciences - Community

Beginning with our first graduating class in 2015, School of Rehabilitation Sciences students, faculty, alumni, donors and partners have come together to make South Texas and the world a stronger, healthier, better place.

A Future Built on Your Word

We boast a higher than average National Physical Therapy Exam pass rate of 98%, and 30% of our graduates report that they are enrolled in or have completed specialized training for certification or fellowship within three years of graduation. It’s your high achievement that shows the world our strength as an academic program, as well as a community.

Please support us as we create future healthcare leaders. Your time, mentoring and resources help us to build stronger graduates, and ensure the continued, long-term success of the program.

In short, you help us to write a better story.

Celebrate

School of Rehabilitation Sciences alumni gather together annually for an Alumni and Friends Reception during the American Physical Therapy Association Combined Section Meetings.

First Commencement Ceremony

On May 9, 2015, the School of Rehabilitation Sciences held our first Commencement Ceremony, graduating 59 students — 50 from the inaugural Class of 2015 entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy program and nine from the post-professional Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. University-wide, more than 79% of our students receive need-based grants, scholarships and financial aid, but still have a gap in covering the cost of attendance.
