Megan Ware, PT. DPT, ScD

Dr. Megan Ware graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise sports science. She pursued her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Hardin Simmons University and graduated in 2010. Since graduation, she has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedics with some outpatient neurological rehabilitation. In addition to clinical work, she felt called to teach future physical therapists. She went on to become a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist through the Internal Academy of Orthopedic Medicine and her Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2018. Her areas of interest are nociplastic pain, student engagement and student success. She has five years of teaching experience focusing on functional anatomy, patient management skills, interventions and psychosocial considerations.

Megan is a member of the APTA and the education and orthopedic academies. She has represented the Heart of Texas region as their delegate for the APTA house of delegates for three years before moving to San Antonio.

When not at work, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dog.
