Dr. Scott Shaffer joined the UIW Physical Therapy Faculty in 2021. He has clinical, teaching, and research experience in neuromusculoskeletal assessment and treatment, to include over 27 years of service as an Army Physical Therapist. He earned his PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences with a focus in Adult Neurologic Disorders from the University of Kentucky, a Masters degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, and a Master of Physical Therapy degree from Baylor University. Dr. Shaffer is a Board-Certified Specialist in Clinical Electrophysiologic Physical Therapy. He has published over 30 peer reviewed publications, provided over 60 international and national research presentations and served as an investigator on various grant funded research projects. His clinical and research interests include neuromusculoskeletal evaluation/treatment, clinical electrophysiology assessment, injury risk screening and health outcomes.
